• 1930

  Ernest Hotte founded Ernest Hotte Inc. located at the corner of St-Clement street and Ontario street in Montreal.
• The company specializes in the construction and repair of roofs for residential customers and general contractors. Among the projects, we will find hospitals, churches, schools and public buildings.

• 1945

  The company moves to 2150 St-Clement street in Montreal.

• 1950

  Obtained it's first roofing maintenance contract in the industrial sector.

• 1960

  George A. Hotte takes over from his father as president. He carries out a strategic realignment of the company and now works directly with the three levels of government, school boards and industries.

• 1966

  Michel Hotte, 3rd generation, joins the company.
• Ernest Hotte Inc. becomes a member of the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA).

• 1970

  Ernest Hotte Inc. becomes a member of the Master Roofers Association of Quebec (QMRA).

• 1977

  Obtains the first contract for roofing maintenance of the CECM (now CSDM).
• Michel Hotte becomes president.

• 1986

  Michel Hotte has served as president of the Quebec Master Roofers Association (QMRA).

• 1991

  Michel Poissant joins the company. He served as president of the technical committee in 1985 and president in 1989 for the Quebec Master Roofers Association (QMRA). He is also a co-author of the roofing manual of the QMRA.

• 2004

  Michel Poissant is named president.
• Stéphane Poissant, son of Michel Poissant, joins the company as vice-president.

• 2009

  Ernest Hotte Inc. receives an honorary plaque highlighting it's 40 years as part of the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA).
• Michel Poissant was elected to the executive committee of the Quebec Master Roofers Association (QMRA).

• 2010

  Ernest Hotte Inc. receives an honorary plaque to mark 40 years of participation in the Quebec Master Roofers Association (QMRA).

• 2013

  After the retirement of Michel Poissant, Stéphane Poissant is named president and becomes owner of the company. He serves as president of the technical committee for the Quebec Master Roofers Association (QMRA). He also serves as QMRA technical representative on the national technical committee of the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA).

• 2019

  Stéphane Poissant receives the prestigious Jean-Luc-Poulin award for his exceptional contribution to the development and influence of the Quebec Master's Roofers Association (QMRA).

• 2020

  Stéphane Poissant is entrusted with a second term as President of the Technical Committee of the Quebec Master's Roofers Association (QMRA).
• Ernest Hotte Inc. receives a distinction award highlithing it's 50 years participation in the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA).

• 2021

  Stéphane Poissant was elected as a director on the board of directors of the Quebec Master's Roofers Association (QMRA).
• In addition, Stéphane Poissant is elected as President of the National Technical Committee of the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA).

• 2022

  Relocation of the company to 3-95, ch. du Tremblay in Boucherville.

• 2023

  Stéphane Poissant is elected as Vice-president of the Board of Directors of the Quebec Master's Roofers Association (QMRA).

• 2024

  Stéphane Poissant is elected as President of the Board of Directors of the Quebec Master's Roofers Association (QMRA).
